MATCH MADE IN MOVIE HEAVEN

hmvCurzon Wimbledon brought into partnership two British companies devoted to bringing high quality entertainment to the UK.  The cinema opened in Autumn 2009 with a varied programme that ranged from Disney Pixar's critically acclaimed 3D animation Up to Michael Haneke's award-winning drama The White Ribbon.

The hmv Curzon Wimbledon opening events included a visit from filmmaker Shane Meadows, writer and broadcaster Andrew Collins, and Nipper the hmv dog, pictured here with Cinema Manager Karolina Kus.

The cinema has successfully continued to balance a carefully curated programme of thought-provoking world cinema, documentaries and repertory screenings, with quality Hollywood blockbusters and an eclectic Kids Club programme.
